The set design for "Danh Lon" is thoughtfully crafted to fully embody the film’s childlike concept while subtly conveying a sense of underlying darkness and vulnerability. This duality is achieved through the use of a familiar fabric pattern often associated with children’s toys and clothing:

/polka dots/

The color palette is intentionally limited to whitish and reddish hues, creating a striking visual contrast that evokes an unsettling atmosphere. The interplay between these colors enhances the viewer’s experience, contributing to the film’s eerie quality. This polka dot motif is pervasive throughout the entire set, including the props, resulting in a visually overwhelming effect that deepens the design's impact.

The backdrop is composed of layers of Xuyen Chi paper, a material traditionally used in Vietnamese calligraphy. Lightweight and eco-friendly, this paper is also highly absorbent and very sustainable, making it ideal for the film’s intentions. This quality becomes particularly significant in the transition between Part I and Part II, where Character A dramatically dismantles his entire world, symbolically ripping apart the layers of his emotional landscape.
